With a dynamic high energy live show, award winning Saskatchewan country recording artist, Justin LaBrash, along with his band True North, entertain audiences with a mix of Justin's originals and popular covers from a many popular genres. In a single show for example fans could hear songs from Justin LaBrash, Aaron Goodvin, AC/DC, Blink 182, Kings of Leon, Brett Kissel, Chris Stapleton, Garth Brooks, Dwight Yoakam, James Barker Band, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Keith Urban, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rolling Stones, Steve Earle, Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZ Top. Justin and his band love playing all the types of music that influenced them as they grew up and on special nights they will attempt almost any song that the crowd requests, even Inna Gadda Da Vida!
Justin has played in venues from Vancouver to Newfoundland to the Northwest Territories and many points in between. While most of their time is spent performing gigs in Saskatchewan, word is getting out into the other provinces and when schedules permit they love to get out and experience all that this beautiful country can offer!
Justin is the 2018 SCMA Emerging Artist of the Year, 2017 SCMA Youth Bursary winner, a two time finalist and runner-up in the 620 CKRM Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase as well as the 2016 Most Promising Entertainer. Justin has been featured on numerous radio and television shows across Canada as well as in national magazines.
He has performed at many festivals and events, including Craven Country Jamboree/Country Thunder Saskatchewan, Rogers Hometown Hockey, What Women Want, Regina Agribition, Gravelbourg Summer Solstice Festival, Last Mountain Rodeo, The 5 Acre Shaker, Moose Jaw Sidewalk Days, Estevan Fair, Hillbilly Boogie Festival, The Hank Snow Tribute Festival, regular appearances at the Boot Scootin' Boogie Dancehall in Edmonton and in the Diamonds In The Rough showcase at the Canadian Country Music Awards.
In only 3 years of performing, Justin has already recorded two albums with 14 songs, produced 5 music videos and released 5 singles to radio. His most popular single, "We Ran Out" reached #96 on TRAXReport, #86 on BDS Top Canadian Country, was the highest Canadian song on The Fan Voted Chart for multiple weeks in a row, and garnered more than 85,000 streams on Spotify in it's first 7 months. His most recent single "Summertime Kinda Love" was released on June 27, 2018 and early interest from radio is very strong.
Being an 18 year old single man, Justin spends most of his time writing songs about girls. Not surprisingly the majority of his fans are females in their teens and 20s and he loves them as much as they love him!
Justin has had the good fortune to share the stage with many Canadian artists, including The Washboard Union, Jess Moskaluke, Tenille Arts, The Wilkinsons, JJ Shiplett, Chris Henderson, Julian Austin, Cody Prevost, Blake Berglund, Amy Nelson, JJ Voss, Alex Runions, Craig Moritz, Sean Hogan, and Jamie Warren.
He enjoys entertaining people from all walks of life and regularly will perform at nursing homes, the children's wards at local hospitals, and the Cosmopolitan Learning Centre. Justin believes strongly in building communities and “paying it forward”. He has formed a partnership with the Jim Pattison's Children’s Hospital Foundation and a portion of the revenue he personally receives for his music release performances is donated to help build the Children's Hospital.
Justin and True North were selected by SaskMusic to work with world renown live music producers, Tom Jackson and Associates from Nashville. Justin has made fans throughout Saskatchewan, across this great nation, as well as in more than ten countries around the world.
